Cofresí's Inspiration

The legendary Puerto Rican pirate, Roberto Cofresi was known for his charitable philosophy to distribute his fortune among the poor, and spread wealth through the Caribbean island forever securing his legacy in history. Café Cofresi founder, Iván Emilio, created this brand inspired by Cofresi's generosity, adventures, and respect for the island. Iván was born and raised on the west side of Puerto Rico and spent much of his childhood at sea, fishing on his dad's boat, making him be fascinated by the pirate life. When creating the brand, Cofresí was the perfect embodiment of Iván Emilio's Puerto Rican roots, interests and philosophy.
